not sure wat to write today but i juz post this new knowledge which i had

If the mother of a child born in Singapore is a Singapore Citizen, the child is also a Singapore Citizen by birth.
Please note that upon registration of the child's birth, the parents will be notified to regularise the child's stay in Singapore within 42 daysof the child's birth.


If the mother is a permanent resident of Singapore and wish to applyfor permanent residence for her child, she may call at PR Services Centre,5th Storey, ICA Building (Next to the Lavender MRT Station), during officehours on any working day to submit the application with the followingdocuments:-
a) duly completed application Form 4, Form 6 & IMM 27 (Disembarkation/Embarkation Form);
b) birth certificate of the child (original and photo copy);
c) travel document of the child or travel document of the parent thatthe child's photo and personal particulars are included in (Original andphoto copy of biodata page);
d) 4 recent passport-sized photographs;
e) parents' marriage certificate (original and photo copy and must bein English version);
f) parents' Entry Permit Cards (original and photo copy);
g) parents' travel documents with valid Re-Entry Permits (originaland photo copy of biodata page);
h) parents' IC, if the EP Card is not available at the time ofapplication (original and photo copy); and
i) Fee: S$100/- for Entry Permit & S$50/- for Re-Entry Permit (S$10per year or part thereof).

Her child has to call in person at the time of application. It isadvisable not to bring her child out of Singapore without a valid Re-EntryPermit. The child will lose his/her PR if he/she leaves Singapore withouta valid Re-Entry Permit.

Main applicants who are granted PR status under the first generation Professional, Technical Personnel and Skilled Workers Scheme or theEconomic Benefits Scheme are exempted from National Service (NS). However,male children who are granted PR status under their parents' sponsorshipare liable for NS upon reaching 16½ years old.

Male ex-Singapore Citizens and ex-Singapore PRs who are grantedSingapore PR status are liable to be called up for National Serviceregardless of the type of PR status they are granted.
