nice or pratical
there are a few markest which renovated during these few yrs
let's look at some...
Newton Circus Food Centre - nicely renovated but flood
Tiong Bahru Food Market - nice right... but still cant find parking space
East Coast Food Centre - also flooding problem
Chinatown Food Market - poor business flow
Redhill Dry Market - hm... looks more like a jail to me
But do we need a nice looking building or structure but not very practical?
with business down at least 50% due to flood, should the designers include things like (1) location / shops faced away from the sun (2) build higher to avoid flood (3) proper ventilation (4) carpark (5) lift and escalators be in the consideration when building something?

I feel the main things are location and good food, haha like good fishballs....
Other things if you take all considerations, cost will go up, so rent go up,and so on...
i think if build more parking places, some might be quite empty during off peak, economically not feasible
good food is 1 thing but u need to have a comfortable place to operate. no point operating in a place whereby u worry flood, landslide, typhoon etc
in terms of usage of the carpark, it may turn be white elephant but in terms of the hawkers, it may not. depend on how u see
