saving

i reading an article entitling
'Save = Earn - Expenses or Earn - Save = Expenses'

in practically, both looks the same but there are some difference.

the former states that you spend whatever u want in the beginning of the month. Whatever balance is your saving. ( i am here)

the latter requires u to do a budget. Cos u only got $X for the month to spend.

i wont know wat expenses i am expecting except for standards such as

Dec - subscriptions / memberships
Feb - Course fee
March - exam fee
July - Insurance
Aug - Course fee
Sept - Exam fee

Dont think that these fees are cheap... my ACCA course already cost me abt $2k per yr. That works out to be my 1.8 mth net salary!
The insurance is another killer almost 1/2 mth gone like tat.

opera and singing class not included in this list... it works out another 3/4 mth!

With 3 mths salary locked, its difficult for me to enjoy life...

if i locked my saving before expenses, then u wont see me outside liao. Cos i got no budget for entertainment

i got an accountant. she earned $5k/ mth and she telling me that she dont have money. wanna know how she spend?
She locked 2mth salary into insurance. Other expenses include 4mths into car. I was in her place for audit 3 days. Guess wat she eat? Call Pizza, Fried Chicken, etc...

IF that type of ppl is call no money. Then wat am i? Beggar...

Anyway, i think if u are able to do a budget. Save before u spend. Its a wiser move. But dont forget to pamper yourself with new pc, hp, etc... On condition that its within your budget
