Maths
Today Xin en, our 11 yr old xiao mei nv, requested for help in Maths question. It was a 5 mark question.
I think she asked teacher Ms Tan (Zhenxuan) first, then the rest joined in.
For this question, we had an accountant-to-be (Yanhong), an auditor-to-be (me lah) and secretary (May) joining the fun.
The question:
Ali had 50% more than Ben, Ben had 20% more than Charlie.
Ali gave Ben and Charlie $350
Ben gave Charlie $400
Final ration of A, B and C was 1:1:3
Find how much Ali gave Ben.
It took us almost an hour to solve it.
Initially we all tot there is a problem with the question.
Accountant solved the question and present the answer to the floor.
Auditor approved the solution and Secretary re-publish the answer for Xin en to bring home to copy.
Then our Ms Tan, after the presentation, came running to us trying to solve e problem. I think she was having her scene during that time.
I hoping to open an audit firm if i managed to get my license. Anyway that how an audit firm works.
but normally the auditor will question the accountant and publish their own report and the secretary will do the minutes for agm.

it's correct~ how u do it? May took 2 days leh..
haha~ trial n error only.. in 15 mins.Cant compare la, May is not in this field mah. xj
miko, must u tell the whole world i did it in 2 days and didn solve it. opps.... save some of my face la....

XJ, put ur working there for us to c leh. Trial and error also got working 1...
i also took abt 1 hr - maths method - got same ans as XJ
