charity show II

e result is out with teacher 'bagging' 3rd behind the chairman and cai qin.

the result is quite close to my estimates. as there are more charities shows upcoming this yr, let's hope to have more gzx on tv.

report saying that almost 50% of the amount rose on tv will goes to mediacorp. its something that no one is happy about.

$1 million goes to production cost
$150,000 goes to salaries, etc for the crew
$2 million goes to tai he guan
$1 million goes to other organisations under its wings
that's their spending plan.

$1.7 million is rose by organisation before the show
thus only $2.5million is rose via tv
this added up to $4.2million

i have no complaints about the crew cost. everyone needs to eat, right?

but $1m goes to production cost? i think they meant air-time... but there are commercials during the show. i not saying that commercials dont earn much but if they show a 3hr movie, they still need to spend money for the copyright. So y cant they waive off the 'production cost'.

so are our money 'well-spent'
