MPs for 2011 election
there is a 'rumor' list of possible candidates for the next election.
1 of them is Tay Ping Hui
the rest of list consist of GLC-related or bankers
What pissed me off is someone remarked 'They even bring 戏子, might as well bring taxi drivers'
What's wrong with 戏子 and taxi driver?
Not only high fliers and big company directors can be a MP.
A show person might bring better improvement to our TV qualities.. Do u know that i havent watch Mediacorp show for a few yrs.. Cos the script is relatively lose out to tw shows..
Look at Ai.. 800 espiodes yet everyone is watching.. Even 3 yr old know how to sing "Wo Wen Tian"
The only show that i heard which achieve such remark is Xiao Niang Rei and maybe Holland Village. I wont say mediacorp is lousy but which show did u actually chase?
Taxi drivers no good meh? I tell u.. many taxi drivers know more than what u n i know.. They might bring better ideas than to construct more ERPs on our highway..

I think there will be candidates from the Unions too.
I agree actors and taxi-drivers can be good MPs. But Singaporeans have high standards.
Suppose a taxi-driver vs an accountant, I think the accountant has higher chance.
lol.. i agree with u~ Mediacorp has lousy scripts.
