a Nanjing family got 3 sisters, jin chuan, yin chuan and bao chuan, were borned in Boxer Revolution period.

their father, a official in Court, received news that the Boxers are coming in their direction and decided to flee. They packed all their things and ran out of their house. Never would they expect the Boxers' Arrival.

In the end, the family was torn apart... BC and her parents were separated. Luckily for her, as she fled, she met a beggar call Pinggui (who else).

When the war was over, the family tried to return to their house but it was badly burnt. BC and PG had fled to a nearby provience. The family decided to move house.

Every anniversary of the day their family was torn apart, BC and PG would go the badly burnt house and to try to find her family but to all vain. The family also tried to go back find BC but their timing just wasnt good.

18 yrs later, PG became a news reporter. He thought of helping his wife and put an article to search her family.
BC's father saw the article and immediately went to find PG in the newsroom, who brought him to see BC.

The family was finally united...
