Mr Crocodile died in his favourite pasttime. Well, we all believe that he is aware of the danger and he should have sufficient 'defence' against these danger.

Healthy people, including doctors, just died from sleep. Heloo... they are all in 30s lor.

Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land

The work of Taiwan playwright-director Lai Sheng-chuan "Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land" (Anlian Taohuayuan) is a classic drama throughout China.

It is a combination of two plays "Secret Love," a tragedy set in the modern times, and "In Peach Blossom Land," a comedy set in ancient times.

Jiang Binliu and Yun Zhifan are two lovers who meet in Shanghai after the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-45), but are parted during the civil war. They lose touch for decades until Jiang is dying in a hospital in Taipei.

The older story is about Laotao who leaves home outraged after he finds his wife Chunhua having an affair with Yuan. By a strange accident he ventures into the Peach Blossom Land, a utopia once described by the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 317-420) poet Tao Yuanming . There he meets two lovers who look exactly like Chunhua and Yuan.

Laotao cannot forget Chunhua and wants to reconcile and take her to live in the Peach Blossom Land. When he goes home, he finds that Chunhua and Yuan have become an unhappy couple just like Chunhua and himself in the past. Laotao tries to escape back to Peach Blossom Land, but can never find it again.

These two stories seem to be irrelevant, but when they are combined in Lai's play, the result has become one of the most successful dramas in Taiwan. The thread to sew them up in the play is the mistaken scheduling of a theatre, which arranged two different troupes to rehearse on the same day. Both troupes were going to perform in two days, At last they compromised to rehearse on the same stage in turn.

In the latest version, the Ming Hwa Yuan Gezai Opera (traditional Chinese opera popular in East China's Fujian and Taiwan provinces) Troupe performed the part of "Peach Blossom Land," making the play a real colliding of two troupes. (Coming to sg)

working there this week.
i was about to go home when some1 sms to suggested me to look for cloth for cai yi, which i intended to make 1 after exam.

problem would be: i need to borrow sample n look for tailor. the tailor i went to last time to make my new yr clothes charges too expensive. he charges me $70 to try make a collar for me. qiuyue managed to have 1 spare for me. thus my carrot head no need to be chopped.

in the end, i didnt buy cos (1) i only got $10 in pocket, (2) i scare buy wrong. thus i prefer to see who free to go find the cloth with me.

u might asked how come i only got $10 with me. Cos i will anyhow spend...
got $40 in pocket on monday. but i dont even know what i spend and have a balance of $10 today

In my opinion, u should be resting in room with fan, not air con. Cos the difference of temperature will cause the body may not react well.
Imagine, u are a piece of metal. On ur right is cold, on ur left is hot.
N the air con was of cold temperature... i was sneezing...

I will cover myself in blanket lor, not wet towel on forehead. This is to squeeze out the heat.

i showed Jeremy, my colleauge, mx's photo of yingtai and asked him to guess her age. the reply was early 20s. well, i can only say mx did a good job in maintenance.

was travelling around sg to study today. well... half round to be exact.
after opera show, i went north to woodlands lib.

abt 5, i went NE to mk's place for bbq. but as i reached there too early, i decided to stay outside the estate to do some reading as i am slightly behind my target.

i got 550 pages to complete by saturday and was only 200. so i did a bit of 'island hopping' and finished 240pages by 6.30pm. This time die also...
There is a mini show this weekend, i got no choice but to reject it.

As i was one of the first to arrive the bbq pit, i helped auntie to start the fire. the last time i started 1, was dont know how many donkey years ago. But i dont do much lah, just lift the heavy metal which is on the pit.

Shortly, the rest came in.

As we were eating, i caught this group of 'anti-social' ppl. hahaa

guess where i went yesterday.

i move around to study. in the end, i landed up here. but it was too noisy, so i went to lib however, it was crowded but luckily found a place n manage to stare at the book for 2 hrs

a woman, with 2 kids, remarried. nothing unusual right...

but she divorced the second marriage. the kids follow the mother. nothing wrong also, as she is their natural mother.

here's the twist.

the mother requested for allowance for herself and her 2 kids.
well, nothing wrong except the kids are not the father's.
i meant he's not their father, only stepfather. Y should he pay for their maintenance?

By law, once if they (the adults) are remarried, the father accepts that the kids are also his.

But in a guy's point of view, why should i pay for the kids' maintenance? funny right?

to make things worst, i got another news. GST going to increase to 7%. this means no more $2 food.

although economics expected to increase this year, but there is a delay (maybe due to election)

how to tahan!!! i expecting the increase to take effect April next yr... sian...

i was wondering about this question when i was sms-ing.
We all know that opera is something that is dying out in sg, regardless of whatever langauge.

We, being learners, are trying to 'protect' the art from being lost but we dont have the audience age group to support us.
i been wondering why this art is losing its beauty. Is sg a place whereby 'if only it is profitable, we support'?

We all know that its an expensive, high cost art.
Material cost:　Look at the costumes． 1 easily　wear　$ x00　worth　ｆｒｏｍ　ｈｅａｄ　ｔｏ　ｔｏｅ．
Immaterial cost： The time we spent for rehearsal.

Is the next course of protecting this art to be cross-culture exchange (as in Mahra, Rama) or retained to China stories?

Well... i had fulfilled my dream acting a member of imperial family, although its a failure. Next role hoping to act will be... Beggar...

1) first for last night's show, though the scolding yet start but i already start scolding myself for poor reaction. though i went for almost all the rehearsal yet i reacted so badly. to make things worst... my role is not very heavy! deserved to chop head

2) i also do not do well. i keep forgetting that i am blind, but i look like partially blind only... dont know my role well enough... deserved to chop head

3) i promised miko that i will protect her hairpiece which she lend me for first scene but it somehow found onto the floor. i very useless... cant even protect a hairpiece, how to protect a person...
