i tried arranging for a 'class gathering' for my pri sch mates during this festive season. Those are the group whom i grew up with. Either go same sec sch or we still meet up these few yrs.
i asked them to go St James for a drink and we could watch EPL together. Dont expect a bunch of guys go out and drink kopi-o + watch EPL right...

i told my mom to recover them but she got no way to contact them unless they met at opera. i hate it when mom lend the shows out leh... i dont mind make a copy for them but she loan them without telling me 1 lor.
i borrowed Jun Chen Qing Shen but i remembered that i got a copy, so does my dad. But mom insist that we dont have it... i a bit sick of her lending things out lor... I lost Zheng De Xia Jiang Nan and Miao Jin Shan, other missing titles unknown... my uncles coming over for cny, dont know how many shows going to get missing again. better find a place to hide the shows...

quite pleased that i received my 1 mth bonus today. As i heavily overspent in dec due to subscription (safsa, acca, icpas, internet 'yearly subscription bills'), this sum came in handy to cover them.
e last show at the hotel, the shengs are not around. this time the dans are not free. most dan having appointments liao. sigh... the shengs got no life 1... hahaa

Time for party!!! But gals, pls avoid countdown at Orchard. I been to Orchard Countdown for a few times. Not a nice sight.
Remember we had tsumani some time ago? There is a New Yr countdown in Orchard. But its a silent countdown with a min of silent. When the music resumes, there isnt much dancing and hopping. Maybe there is no mood for it. Then the foreign workers started to play with foams and other party items.
What they did is to spray either into the sky or direct at the gals' face / hair. The gals will scream at them. Molest or not, i not very sure. But i feel like slapping them also.
I went Orchard for 3 yrs. 3 yrs, i see the same sight and for 3 yrs, i had to escort my gal friends out of the area. Quite sickening of it already, i decided to make a change last yr. So... wat was i doing on Chirstmas eve last yr...

well, today i became a 'living' corpse. went for singing class in afternoon. teacher used her music-only cd and wants us to sing. before she starts, she said "Lai Si Ji Pai (来。死一次)" as usual, she had to spend quite a lot of time to correct my errors and i even got myself detention class! thus i 'died' a lot of times...
in army, i got remedial training. in singing i got 'detention' class. in studies, even worst, retention! looks like i really is a jack of all trade but master of none.
during 'detention' class, teacher adjusted my 7 Zi Diao and Wang Yue Ci. She concluded that of all my xiao diao, only Wang Yue only miss off by a bit. Hm... i tot Wang Yue is 1 of the more difficult xiao diao. How come it miss by a bit and tunes like Liu Jiao Mei Ren and Hua Gong Yuan, i got so many problems.
we did some fighting scenes during opera class. before she starts, she said again "Lai Si Ji Pai" COI No. 1 Lame-ster replied with 'Jin Ni Wa Si Zhen Zui Pai Liao' (today i died many times already). Although i knew ppl dont like to hear such things, but i happily do again cos practise makes perfect. My mouth sometimes juz like to rattle silly remarks off...

3/4 way through the dinner, May requested for 2 glasses of ice and to refill the tea. When the waiter came back with the items, May replied "Thank you dear" Ah Suan's husband and I saw the waiter a bit blushed and his smile so big, as if he is floating... (a bit kua zhang) I wont comment on how good / bad the food is. Cos my reply will be good as i hardly go restaurants to eat. After meal, i noted that there is a pond whereby ppl can 'walk on' Teacher posing for someone else, since my hp is already taken out.... Shun Pian... The place is full of this type of trees. (cant name the place due to work reason)
Actually, the restaurant is one of my client. I knew this place can do fishing but no1 seems to be interested to go. So i dont tell ppl of the location.
Too bad i dont see the boss before, else will shout "Get ur director to see me! I dont wanna see ur manager, i wanna see ur director" heheee
But i dont really like to go client's place for meals / lunching with client, etc. If the boss is not there, not so bad. If he's there, i will have a feeling of 'owing him a favor in work', esp when he gives discounts. Owing favour doesnt mean anyhow do work but in terms of speed, correctness of documents, amt of time to disrupt his operation, ensure that he wont get fine, etc. This is also 1 of the reasons why i dont wanna go to Big 4.
There is once whereby my client wanna treat as there is not food centre nearby. We went to Chinese restaurant. 3 person ate abt $150! (client, me and my senior). After that, dont know why, i start to sweat...

While in army, we got nothing to do during guard duty. So i called in FM1003. During that time, they allow ppl to talk rubbish on air. E lucky caller was allowed to do a 1 min recording. so most of the time, either i was singing or talking to air, saying hi to other listeners. then other listeners will say hi to me also. Can u imgine me killing chickens on air.
The most recent time which i called in successful was in Oct. The program was hosted by Jianwen and Limei. They wanted to encourage ppl who are disappointed. I was quite upset abt my singing and the Indian show is coming. I had 1/2 song to sing and i still hitting wrong keys. So i msg in.
Jianwen called me and had a little interview with me. Those usual questions lor... Y u like opera, how long u learning, etc. Then suddenly Limei said "Sing 1 paragraph for us" Everyone knew its 'illegal' to speak dialect on air. Well... despite me turning them down, they insist me to sing. Er... i think they were fined $10,000 after that.
Last night, our dearest Zhenqin, as usual got lost in the rain while driving us home, switched on Capital 958. They're interviewing Aston Tan, producer of the Sin Sai Hong show in museum. Then SSH's 16 yr old guy called in and sang du ma. While Zq was not in the car for a while, i asked tian if she wanna called in. She was excited but dont dare to answer. I wanted to call but scare say wrong thing. Then Yilan volunteer to be speaker provided we managed to call in. Well... I managed to get to the line... but was on hold by the host... Sian...

the first half of the talk had 2 Chinese speakers. They started describing their opera shows, describing what the show abt, etc and drag time. If U attend talk, would u bother that the show is abt if u never heard before? At most, u take note of the show and go home check mah... In the end, they overrun...
CBX also talk abt Creating New Opera and Innovative Interpretation of Classics as a Strategy to Recruit New Audience but her talk is more of ... "What is the objective of coi"
Of all the 1st half speakers, only tw speaker caught most of our attention. Maybe its because its related to gzx. But her powerpoint got pic of tw opera and she explained the 'orgin' of 'operah'.
At the end of second presentation, the host requested the audience to post some question. A 70+ old man started to talk abt gzx in sg. But the host keep stopping him. Its so annoying. Every1 listen til lu shen and he keep interrupting...
Most of us left after lunch. I knew i missed the performance section at the end of the show. Actually i wanted to go back abt 2.30pm but my legs are lazy. hehee
Anyway, i felt that the host invited the wrong guest of honor. Heloo... U holding a talk in sg, shouldnt u invited a Minister/ MOS/ managing director of MICA. I meant, since its such a meaningful talk and might create better awareness of chinese opera and its hold in sg. Ask a researcher from China Ambassy for wat.
It is reported that incoming labour chief Lim Swee Say is pushing for an increase in the employers' CPF contribution rate in a move that will benefit middle-income workers. Low-wage workers could also enjoy higher take-home pay and more savings in their CPF accounts. I dont know how the govt classify as middle income or low income but i perfer to have a higher increase in CPF and hope that our contribution dont reduce.
A lot of ppl dont like to contribute CPF as they think that its a 'waste of money'. But in my opinion, i still prefer to contribute this 20% as it is a parking place. If i am to have cash in hand, i think this money will dont know fly where.

i like to study in a relax method - shop after 2 hrs, sms during the study. Anything except computer and vcd... But some ppl juz think that i am a slacker lor.
Well, if u can understand, u understand. if u dont understand, i dont agree that u can try to understand more. But during exam, the time and question makes u shiver. Even if u understand, can u complete the questions in time? What the point of getting 100% right for 1 question but got no time to do 1 question? Ultimately, its your time management.
I got a friend who studied almost 9 hours per day but could not complete all questions. I completed all questions without fully answering the question + write rubbish. In the end, i passed he failed.
I also know that in our work, we also compare. Compare of service and price. Whoever offer cheap price, client will give him the job. Resulting price slash. For $800, my boss and i had to risk possibility of errors and misjudgement. Lawyers do investigating and write super thick reports just for that few hundred profit.
Even with our hobbies, ppl also want to compare. Compare singing, costumes, etc.

1) Genting won sentosa bid as expected. base on e proposal, many ppl already expect it to win. So this means Universal Studio will be in Sentosa! Shiok! no need to go overseas liao... but need to pay admin fees to enter Sentosa. hahaa
Anyway, although i already knew the likelyhood of its victory but i got no money to buy its shares. Thus unable to earn paper profit. too bad.
2) CapitalReit Reit I sent some sms out asking ppl to buy the IPO. Actually, its a good reit as its e first China reit in sg to be listed. With the rise of RMB, it makes the property in China more worth. The bid price is $1.13. At the end of the day, it closes at $1.80. I was luckily to get a lot. Meaning i made a paper gain of $670!
The exam was at 3pm but i left home at 12pm to go for lunch and straight to expo.
I put a set of lecture notes into my bag as usual. There are 2 questions, Q3 n Q5 which is on the financial standard, a 25 point question each.
XJ: u know right... THere are 100 over standards to follow... its impossible to read all standards overnight.
Q3 is too difficult for me cos its a question covering the entire standard, meaning 25 points on 1 standard whereas Q5 is partial of a standard with some use brain question. As I got no time, so i can only do 'island-hopping' and attempt question 5.
After meal, i slept on the train til around City Hall. Was woken up by some noisy youngsters.. Cha Si! I took my notes out to try cover the defination of some standards. What the HELL! How come 2.4 notes is inside! I tot i put in 2.5 notes!
No choice, i had to try get familiar with the exam format. Luckily, i brought out the right past yr paper.
In the exam hall, i looked for the new pen which i bought (it was in my bag). On Sat, i bought a new pen, just in case my pen is out of ink. I stared at the color! How come its purple! Must be the colored lights that caused my error (i got a bit of colorblind)

My mom dont like me joining opera. I had to prove her that i can pass my 2.3 in June and keep her mouth shut for a while. 2.3 is tax, i quite familiar as i working on company tax daily.
I not facing only internal problem. i also facing external.
my colleauge had only 5 papers and i had 8 papers. I knew my salary is higher. So if he finished faster, then he likely to take over my senior audit position else will get higher salary.
I believe that your head is what size, u wear what size cap. If you want to wear bigger size head, make ur head big first. But can u imagine, a newbie 1/2 yr experience, getting more salary than u, just because he finished his exam first?
Heloo, i got 2 yrs experience and i not comparing those outside my office. If i want to compare, i dont think i deserve less than unexperience assistants who completed acca in Big 4 who are receiving abt $2,300... Yah... i got far less than that.
In actual exam, my cashflow cant tie (25point), conso cant got problem (25pt), redraft P/L also got problem (25pt). And my Q5 cant do! i try to write rubbish on the paper, also got no time. Si Mi Sai!

first the error in the show which everyone said its a learning opportunity and suggest me to ignore the error. But to the audience, its very ugly and will turn them from coming next show. its 1 of the worst mistakes in shows.
everyone knows i having exam. i been started studying since mid Oct. I even bring books to teacher's place to read while the rest packing their costumes. I knew my own notes is insufficient so i even bother to go around asking ppl for notes eventually yanhong borrowed me hers.
Once i got it, i kept reading after work. Going to libraries, void deck, etc as i knew i cant study at home.
In the end, i juz realised that i been studying the wrong book! No... nothing wrong with yh's notes. I having exam for 2.5 first then 2.4 but i had been reading 2.4 notes for the past 2 weeks without realising that 2.5 coming first!
My colleauge sms me to bring windbreaker at abt 8pm last night. Then i remembered that he's taking 2.3 and 2.5 which is wed n thu. This means that my 2.5 is on Thu not next Wed and i yet even look into the notes for this whole week! I can still happily learn cook porridge!
I cant blamed anyone but myself. This few weeks i dont have much things on. No opera, not much shopping. Everyday, work, study. Yet i studied wrong thing.
2 yrs ago, i dreamt that i failed my 2.1 and 2.2 exam. I took those 2 papers in Dec sitting also. In the end, i really failed. i recently dreamt that i will fail this exam. I dont believe i so sway! I dont hope for more. All i want is 51 point and i will be very happy. As such, i been preparing this exam slightly longer than expected yet i prepared the wrong thing. I dont even know how to take the exam later.
The transition period is almost approaching. I hoping to clear my Level 2 by then (i have 3 more papers to clear.) But this dream is almost impossible liao. With the new syballus, most notes will change and being the first few batches the exam might be difficult.

Helloo... i playing shares not unit trust leh... In shares, there is no such thing as pooling. If u want, i tips u. then u decided urself n buy. If its falling, i will tip u again for u to sell.
If u pool, how i decided which amount belongs to u? Eg. Today i buy Metro n 2nd Chance. How i know which partion is urs? My purchase could be $3000, $2000, am i going to spilt $300 n 200 for u?
If u throw $50,000 at me. Fine... I play with ur money. Any gain/ loss, u bear. Of the profit, i took maybe 5-10% as my commission.
Actually unit trust is a pool of money used to invest in bonds, shares, etc Shares is only capital of a company. Dividend is profit from the company. The amount of dividend depend on how much shares u own. But most unit trust dont give dividend.

I was printing my report n he intercept my line to print 1 page. (we sharing 1 central printer). Imagine u print a few different sets of documents for ur report n he print only 1 page... i had to find tat page out for him.
To make things worse, he was printing page by page. HELLOOO... Cant u wait til ur report is finished than u print the whole set... I told him my suggestion n u know what he replied? "Its my style"
Wow piang... if we not using central, i dont care how to print lah. Imagine if i forgot to take out that stupid page n boss sent for mass printing. Tat stupid page will be sent to my client for signature lor. IDIOT!
Boss told him not to give him office key while i on leave. Hope he kana fired... Was only in office for 3 mth, yet took 2.5 day leave already n he's taking 2 weeks leave to go Brunei to visit parent-in-law. If u got leave, take. No leave, take so many days for wat!
its been long time since i got chance to wake up at 10am. jan feb, i have to go to camp exercise. weekdays have to be up by 7am weekend, normally i wake up at 8... sometimes, play game, sometimes go market
