i think my 人缘 no good. Called 10 persons in 1/2 hr to search for something. The possibilities of these persons having the thing tat i want is higher so i called them.

Anyway, of these 10 persons, only 1 answer. COW! 10 calls, only 1 reply.

Anyway today is Duan Wu. 5 being the 'biggest' number on earth, 9 is the 'biggest' number in heaven. As such, the Yang Qi for these 2 days are very hot.

Anyway, i long time no eat dumpling liao...
Grandma used to make. She will know the different favouring for her grandchildren. Her children eat anything.
She will make some with extra chilli, some with extra meat, some with extra chestnut and some with extra mushroom. All for different cousins.
Then she will make 1 special type for me. Cos only i like to eat tat type. All cousins wont take this type.

No meat, extra rice, extra chestnut. Hahaa...
Cos i will dig out all the meat and she knows i dont eat chilli.

Special right... Anyway, she now no make, so i also no eat. Cos whichever favour my mom buy, i will still dig out the meat.

i was hiding in Victoria Library.
Some ppl called it National Library but i prefer Victoria cos its in Victoria St. Anyway there are too many libraries now. I using the term National Library only for National Library Board.

But i went 4 Face Buddha first. Then first reaction:

The thing tat interesting me is the way some1 react to a cockroach. She was jumping but in slow-motion opear method. too bad i no video it down. Cute

My wife capital dropped again today. Expect me not to blog right....

since miko mention abt this topic, let me touch a bit on this also.
actually i got another topic in mind but its personal matters. dont think ppl want 2 know.

There is this guy call Lim Ah Cai from my camp. He signed on and was transferred to us during my second yr. We had no history of him at all except he was transferred.

Anyway, i dont like his face so i not really on friendly terms with him (i judge ppl by cover). After abt 2 mths he arrived, he started borrowing money from ppl. Well, he got a bit of gambling habit. He approached most of the ppl in the camp, from clerks to storeman to officers and other specialists and medics. (But he no approach me)

Then u will c him taking cabs back to camp at night. He will tell the driver to park outside camp while he go take $. As expected he will never appear again. 1 uncle even get guardroom to pay for the trip.

he got $ to take cab but no $ to return debts.

So wat's the link? Must give a bit of background first mah

He will often told us he went to Geylang and his experience there.
He also told some of the guards that Zouk is a better place cos the gals are more pretty n more 'high'. The best part is they are free. He even took the gals money to take cab home!

i was bi guan these 2 days. but i went to bras basah to study today.
during bi guan period, i hide in JW Mac, Bras Basah Mac or National Lib. i considering putting Turf city in my list also, but maybe next round.

4pm, i went to lib to take a look at the site. but it was overcrowded. so i went to '4 face buddha foodcourt'. as i was walking out, i received a sms from Han, my NS friend who signed on. He was so happy tat he quitting next yr. But i did not recognised him cos he was under attachment during his tour in my camp and he is not under my group n he changed his hp no.

next i went to the food court for a mug of milk. (i take milk n milo. hardly took coffee cos at times it gives me stomachache) i completed 8 revision questions there and decided to call it a day. Went COI

bookfair

although i suppose to bi guan but i went to bookfair juz now.
i prefer going in weekdays cos its not crowded, anyway its the first day.

i expecting schools to offer courses also... but not many 'branded schools came. i pinning for a fengshui exhib but dont have also... sian...

there is a clown in e office today.
ya... this guy came to office wearing black jacket. those semi-formal type. Dont know lah. This guy likes to be formal abit cos he dont know how to dress down.

then abt 11am. after bosses went out appointment, he took out a pair of glove to wear. he wore til lunch. at 3pm, he wore them again til 6pm. at 4, lady boss suddenly saw something white when she walked to his area to take things. N started to laugh. she was so .... excited? then she said "wow, u really look like a clown leh, wear glove for wat? i know its cold lah"

i had a few reasons for not going...

1) My exam coming. Having work and revision, i got no time for rehearsal. Need to grab as much time as possible. Luckily i only had a minor role in Qian Nv. Else there will be a great reshuffle. But i hoping to go cos i may get more roles n experience but time dont allow me.

2) I got insufficient leave. I reserving my leaves for Jun (3) and Dec (6) exam. Balance (5) is reserved for my long awaited tw trip. (whether its for show or for personal, immaterial) I also pai seh to ask for more leave cos i taking leave til 7th. They flying on 7th.

But this reason is overturned cos some of the members r only going during weekends, i can company them.

3) Dad dont allow me due to earthquake, volcano and riots. If he allows, the duration must cut. For safety reasons. Well... for weekends, i should be able to argue my way through.

4) Then i ask my mom, her only conversation with me today.

Mom: Y u wanna go? Fun meh?
Me: Teacher bringing us go. Free flight, free lodging and free food. Bring S$150 there, can be millionaire liao.
Mom: O... (meaning ok lah)

I was so happy!
Then 5 mins later, she gave me a slip of paper.

naming a kid

Mr Ong's wife juz gave birth to a 8 pound kid. N Mr Ong complaining tat he had to pay hospital fee, birth certificate fee n buy many baby stuff which he will throw after a few months

Naming a child is an art. There are a few things parents have to take note.

1) Surname. Some surnames are difficult to name a child ok... eg. 吴 梅 白 Imagine u name a baby 赚钱.

2）Given name. Must not be too song... Eg. 亚高，　美貌，　

３）Common name. U dont name them using common names, else when u call ur child. Many ppl look at u, thinking that u calling them. Eg. 大尉，秀秀

4) I know that some parents named their gals using guys' name. And some guys having gals' pet name. It happened with Wu Zetian and a general with a pet name 五娘．

5) There are also ppl who named their kids using historial ppl name eg. 子敬

Any other points to take note?

Three Gorges Dam

China had been trying to build a dam across Yellow River for flood control.
Since dont know when... this project has been rised by different dynasties but no one dare to challenge natural due to the lack of technology.

Different dynasties had tried they best to reduce the anger of this river. Once its angry, flood will destroy homes and farms. Corrupted officials claimed they could managed to control this river and requested for funds to build dams but they pocketed the money.

In 1919, Mr Sun Zhongshan proposed the building of this dam. In 1993, construction starts. The dam will be completed by this saturday but fully functional in 2009.

I was wondering if the building of this dam will bring in pros or cons cos it destroys e environment of Three Gorges.

Anyway the project costs US$10billion excluding gifts and tea money. heheee

i received a call this morning.
Its from a client asking for direction on how to get to our office.

She gave me a name which i never heard before "Edgedave Plain" (something like tat, dont know wat she saying also...) ... I tot its a place in UK.

Y does LTA or whoever in charge of naming street names so ang moh...

I looked into the street directory. OMG, still got places call Fernvale, Anchorvale, Compassvale, etc

Cant they name them as Jalan Fern Road, Anchor St, Compass Ave or Lorong Edge? They sounded more local mah...

Or name some streets with those millionaires or ppl who contributed to Spore lah. eg. President Road, MM Ave, SM St or Jalan PM. i think sporeans would prefer this.
Who say we cant have these... We already got Kim Seng Road, Toh Tuck Road, Meng Teck Road. hm... who are these ppl... i also dont know...

i was quite excited this morning when i was reading zaobao.

it is said tat there is a astrological observatory found in Amazon, Brazil.

Like Stonehenge, its made of stones in weird positions. The researchers conclude tat this 'formation' is actually an observatory.

Well... since every1 went to watch, so i also go lor... (went market to buy supper, tongbang go watch)

I tot i could enjoy the show although i dont have any background of the story. But the joy was spoilted by Ge Tai!!!

e ge tai was an entertainment for the dinner. n u know wat?!
The volume of e ge tai speaker is far louder than the opera. Imagine, the ge tai was at 1 end of e field and the opera is on e other. I could hear e ge tai across e road opposite of the opera!

Anyway, i kana turned off and headed for my supper...

Vesak Day

i bored to death...
been locked in house by myself.

Annually, my family would visit a friend of my grandfather on this day. However, last yr, we juz learnt that he had ascended to company Lord Buddha.

He is a wise man who knows those Buddhist scripts in Fan Wen. In the 80s, my grandfather would visit him personally with us. Then my father took over.

This friend would ask the same question every yr. How's my father during the yr? How's my grandmother? etc...

After which, he would chat a prayer onto our amulet.

He could 'see' these which we cant see.

My brother had replaced his amulet once and we sent it to him for "eye opening ceremony".
After the prayer, he told us "See, the eyes open now..."

Back to my books liao...

i was on tv last night for e election result. then there were footages of coffeeshop.
first reaction, were they walking e result or EPL result.

Hey... dont be surprise if sporean would prefer watch soccer than election cos its e last day of the League.

In the end its e election. Cos EPL last day is today not yesterday...

yuki and myself

Funny right for me to write such topic... I saw yuki on tv and decided to share with u some of my past.

I remembered it happened around mid 1990s. Last time, i would follow radio ppl to run around spore. They had this fan club autograph session. I dont know the star but i juz followed to see.

At the destinated time, the star was not there yet. I was very impatient and start telling my friend that those stars got no sense of timing...
After 1/2 hr wait, the star finally appear. When i saw her, my feet became watery. Cant stand properly. The star was yuki hsu.

She started singing and dancing on the stage. Without realising, i started buying her cds and start learning her dances. Dont look at me. I cant do it properly...

2001, she came spore as Tourist Da Shi. But was critized. Ppl think that Sun Yanzi should be the one. Anyway Yanzi took over from her after 1 yr. When she was here, a group of fans followed her during the trip. There is also 1 mtv whereby its taken in spore

Well, this is 1 of the few times whereby i had a crash. The other time was with jolin cai yiling.

I also agreed that guys tend to like gals because of looks and not inter-beauties. I admit that i also 1 of those type. But when i like a gal, i will get it clear whether if its a crash or a liking before i do anything.

But on the side of me, i am a shy, stone, serious person who only know how to handle aunties.

PAP went back into power as expected.
I expecting them to lose CCK but they dont.
Aljunied is another area which ppl pay attention to. I expecting WP votes abt 35% but they got 43%.
AMK is another area which i look into. WP sending a 'sucide' team with many youngsters. I expecting abt 20% as its the PM's ward but they won abt 34%.

Overall, beside Sembawang, the opposition won average of 35%. much higher than the 25% which they won in 2001

SDP? If they win any vote in this election, i prepared to... (let me think abt it...)

i was busy with my own 'election'. I went hong kah (my house market belong to hong kah), tanjong pagar (redhill and tiong bahru) and jalan besar GRCs.

Tanjong Pagar - my dad ask me go Redhill to buy coffee powder and bring some to my grandma's place.

Me:" Give me 3X 1kg + 1X 1/2kg." ( Cos that half kg is for my grandma and we keep 3 kg. )
Uncle: "Wrong lah... u want 3 X 1/2kg + 1 X 1kg. not the other way round."
I: ?? Is it? i got my sum wrong meh? Dad gave me $50 leh. Total not $28 meh?
Uncle: No lah. Total is $20
I: Ok lor... Give me 3 X 1/2kg + 1 X 1kg. Not enough, i come again next time.

Anyway, i decided not to open my voting box as i think it may not turn out as expected. maybe i should walk the ground more often first before opening this box.

new valuation concept

I just got this new concept on how valuable u are to the office.

I was out of office today n spotted the rental of e office. Wow, base on number of people in the office. The estimate floor area occupied by a person is abt $1,ooo.

This means the company not only pay $X,000 to you as salary but also $1,000 to keep u in office. Thus ur value is $X + 1 not $X.

Thus if u working in UOB building area, congrates! U are very valuable. If u are in factory, er... no comment.

i was lottering again as usual tonight. cos i will be out of office for e rest of e week. So i walked to my hideout - marina / suntec.

i was at marina when my hp rang. its my penpal - Lisa. she called me n said she heard some1 singing then she know its me.

hm... wat a way to identify me...

Anyway in the end, i walked with her to some accessories shop before i left her at her bus stop. (normally i will send her back to bukit panjang home, but tonight no mood)

On my way home, i received her sms.
" If u really like a girl go for it. Cos somethimes, its really very hard to find someone u really like... N if there is one day u finally won her heart, treasure it"

Hm... i think she wrote this cos she juz quarrelled with her bf over watching Mission Impossible tomorrow.

I decided to post her msg up cos i think its meaningful.
Then some1 going to complain i keep copying things from somewhere...

In today's meeting, i am assigned to find merchant's sponsorship n bbq catering. Any1 got lobang?

By right, i suppose to study at home but i went shopping alone as usual. Cos i will not constantly stay in 1 shopping centre for too long and i know many ppl dont like to walk. Thus normally i dont call ppl out unless i wanna buy things and need advice.

Today's trip route? Marina, Suntec, Bugis Junction, PS, Istana and Far East Sq in 6 hrs. er... walking...

Well... Since e NKF health officer say i fat, so i walk to trim down lor.

I was at PS when i realise tat Istana ground is open for public today. Then i walked into my "dream house". But i still prefer to live in palace.

Wei Fu Chu Xun

I putting 2 clips up today.

1 is a clip of Emperor's wei fu chu xun. There are 2 shows. 1 is Hua Yue Zheng Chun Feng which i am watching now. The other is my favorite O Xiang Ju, Qian Long Xia Jiang Nan.



The other clip i put for fun 1. cos i like this tune. N it also tells us not only Indians run around trees... er.. for this case temple..
Can any1 tell me wat tune this is?
